Development and Effects of a Nursing Education Program Using Virtual Reality for Enhancing Clinical Decision-Making Ability in Respiratory Disease Nursing Care

Purpose: This study was conducted to develop and examine the effects of a nursing education program using virtual reality enhance clinical decision-making ability in respiratory disease care by assessing students’ confidence performance, ability, practice flow, class evaluations, simulation design evaluations.Methods: developed based on Jeffries model 5E learning cycle model, blending high-fidelity simulation. The participants were 41 third-year students with no experience. experimental group (n=21) received program, while control (n=20) traditional education. Data collected from March 8 May 28, 2021 analyzed SPSS version 27 for Windows.Results: Statistically significant differences found between post-intervention performance (F=4.88, p=.33) (F=18.68, p<.001). showed increases flow (t=2.34, p=.024) evaluations (t=2.99, p=.005) compared group.Conclusion: Nursing programs can be an effective educational strategy context.
